Let me introduce a popular shop in Fukuoka:
“Tamagoyaki Waran,” located at 1-8-3 Noma, Minami-ku, Fukuoka City! 🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚🥚
This shop, which opened in July 2024, specializes in *tamagoyaki* (Japanese rolled omelet).
They use “Taiyo-ran” (Sun Egg)—a popular brand from Nagasaki with a 40-year history.
Once an order is placed, a skilled *tamagoyaki* artisan carefully cooks each omelet one by one!
This time, I enjoyed the *umamaki* (eel-wrapped omelet) set meal along with dessert. 😆
The star of the show—the *umamaki*—featured fluffy, golden-brown egg wrapped around savory, fatty eel; it was a simple yet elegant and luxurious treat that tasted absolutely amazing! ‼️
The miso soup was packed with vegetables—a thoughtful touch that really shows how much they care about their diners. 😃
The *shumai* dumplings, made with Kinako Pork and Taiyo-ran eggs, offered a perfect balance where the richness of the meat was complemented by the clean, delicious flavor of the egg—and getting to eat them piping hot was a real luxury! ‼️
The three side dishes were also wonderful, with a lovely homemade feel to them. 😌
I highly recommend this place if you want to fully enjoy the deliciousness of eggs—it offers incredible value for the price! ‼️
