This is a cold mineral spring that boasts the highest carbonate content in Japan, and is said to be effective for gastrointestinal diseases, chronic digestive disorders, and chronic constipation.
It is said that around 1864, drinking this water, which was feared at the time, cured a chronic stomach ache, and it became popular as it was thought to have medicinal properties.
From the appearance of the building, you can feel the taste that has passed through time, and it makes you feel nostalgic.
Once inside, you can put money in and pump up to 60 liters per person.
I poured 100 yen into a small bottle of carbonated water, but it quickly filled up and I was wondering what to do, when someone told me that they could fill it in 10 yen increments😅
Since it was a waste, I gave away the water to those who brought lots of containers.
When I drank the water, I could taste the gentle carbonation and natural mineral ingredients, and it felt like it was good for my body😊
There is also a footbath at Nagata Kosen, and it is a luxurious way to relax while taking a footbath in the peaceful scenery! ️
There’s a craft cola called “KOGA COLA” at a nearby store, so I’m looking forward to trying it out😊
