Shunsen Kobo Yufu

Let me introduce a popular izakaya that has been a local favorite for years: “Shunsen Kobo Yufu,” located at 3-3-12 Minamigaoka, Onojo City, Fukuoka Prefecture.
This popular izakaya has been loved by the local community for over 25 years. It was even listed in the Bib Gourmand category of the 2014 Michelin Guide, and its quality continues to earn the support of many diners today.
During my visit, I enjoyed dishes such as the assorted sashimi platter, deep-fried asparagus with cheese, grilled chicken thigh, and seafood champon.
The sashimi platter featured luxurious selections like medium-fatty tuna (chutoro), abalone, turban shell, and jellyfish; everything was incredibly fresh and delicious.
The grilled chicken thigh had a wonderful, savory charcoal-grilled aroma that really enhanced the flavor.
The deep-fried asparagus and cheese—wrapped in crispy spring roll pastry—features a perfect balance of ingredients, and the addition of fish works wonderfully too! ‼️
The seafood champon has a refreshing soup that really brings out the flavor of the seafood; it is absolutely delicious as a final dish to wrap up the meal. 😌
Everything on the menu is truly delicious! ‼️
I highly recommend this place to anyone in Onojo City looking for great drinks and a fantastic meal. 😌
