Let me introduce a popular lunch spot in Fukuoka.
It is called “Niku to Kaisen to Watashi” (Meat, Seafood, and Me), located at 6-14-2 Minamizato, Shime-machi, Kasuya-gun, Fukuoka Prefecture.

This is a popular destination for lunch in the area.
In the evenings, the establishment operates as “Yakiniku Donya Fukoku-shin”; it is beloved by the local community for the unique appeal it offers in both forms.
This time, I enjoyed their “Meat and Seafood Treasure Box.”
Open the box, and you’re greeted by charcoal-grilled meat, scallops, shrimp, and a generous serving of salmon roe 😌. The meat is excellent, offering a savory aroma while retaining a tender, rare finish; the plump shrimp and scallops provide a great texture; and the salty, rich flavor of the roe ties everything together in perfect balance ‼️. The miso soup is made with a luxurious shrimp stock—something I’m sure shrimp lovers will appreciate 😃. I highly recommend this for anyone looking to enjoy a slightly more upscale lunch in Kasuya.
