Originating as a souvenir shop in Furuyu Onsen, this restaurant continues to be beloved by many fans as a renowned shop for shiratama manju, a sweet dumpling that has long been a favorite in Saga.
Their signature product is the Shiratama Manju, a subtly sweet and refined bean paste wrapped in a chewy, dumpling-like dough. Its simple yet gentle flavor is incredibly delicious. 😋
They also offer shiratama manju with kinako (roasted soybean flour) and mitarashi (sweet soy sauce), so it’s fun to try and compare the flavors you like! ️
In addition to the shiratama manju, they also offer the Namamaru Fusatsuyu (sweet rice crackers), Kasumaki (sweet rice rolls), and Karinto Manju, all of which seem to be popular items. 😌
Personally, I loved the moist and gentle flavor of the Karinto Manju. 😆
