Wagashi-dokoro Toraya

和菓子処 とらや

Let me introduce you to a popular Japanese confectionery shop in Fukuoka.
Located at 234-1 Kyomachi, Kurume City, Fukuoka Prefecture,
It’s called “Wagashi-dokoro Toraya” 😊
🍵🍵🍵🍵🍵🍵🍵🍵
This is a popular Japanese confectionery shop that has been loved by locals for over 40 years, located just a stone’s throw from JR Kurume Station 🍵
You can enjoy a wide range of Japanese sweets, from high-grade wagashi used in tea ceremonies to easy-to-eat dango and manju!
This time, I tried high-grade wagashi, kinako dango, and hana ichigo!
The wagashi (Japanese sweets) are incredibly smooth to the touch, and the sweetness and subtle flavor are simply elegant!
The kinako dango (rice dumplings coated in roasted soybean flour) have a rich, subtly sweet paste that really brings out the deliciousness of the dumplings.
The matcha dango also have a refined matcha bean paste that perfectly complements the flavor of the dumplings.
Everything I’ve tried has been truly delicious!
This is a highly recommended shop for anyone looking to buy Japanese sweets in Kurume!
