Let me introduce you to a hugely popular park in Chikushino City.
It is the “Chikushino City General Park,” located at 382-6 Yamaguchi, Chikushino City, Fukuoka Prefecture!

This park, rich in nature, underwent a renovation in April 2026.
Its main attraction is the “Tempai-no-Fune” (Ship of Tempai)—a massive, sailboat-shaped play structure that offers endless excitement. It is packed with amazing features, including a “free-fall” slide that drops vertically from the highest point in Japan, a captain’s cabin, and an observation deck offering panoramic views of Lake Tempai and the surrounding mountains!
When you look up at the hugely popular “Free Fall” slide from below, it’s so steep that you have to crane your neck—it almost looks like a sheer vertical drop! 😅
When I actually went to the slide, I hesitated for a moment, thinking, “It’s higher than I imagined!” ‼️ But once I took the plunge, the sensation of weightlessness combined with the lightning-fast drop made the name “Free Fall” feel absolutely perfect. ‼️
It was even more of a thrill ride than I expected! 😃
There are plenty of other attractions, too—like a roller slide and play equipment for small children—so it’s a hit with families of all ages! ‼️
It’s a highly recommended spot for a day out on the weekend. 😃
