Let me introduce a shop in Fukuoka that has been loved by the community for many years:
“Minematsu Honke Main Store,” located at 1-9-34 Tachibana-ji, Hakata Ward, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture! ‼️

This establishment has been a local favorite since it first opened as a *kamaboko* (fish cake) shop in 1910.
Driven by a desire for more people to enjoy their fish cakes, they created a signature dish: “Donmen,” featuring their own homemade, hand-kneaded udon noodles.
The interior offers an elegant Japanese atmosphere, complemented by the staff’s attentive and warm hospitality, creating a truly wonderful experience. 😌
This time, I tried their signature dish, “Donmen”‼️
Donmen is a *champon*-style udon dish featuring udon noodles and six types of ingredients—such as cabbage and *kamaboko* (fish cake)—simmered together in a rich, flavorful broth.
The 32cm-diameter bowl was bigger than I expected, and it was absolutely packed with noodles and toppings‼️
The flavor of the dashi broth pairs perfectly with the ingredients like the *kamaboko*; it’s delicious and surprisingly refreshing to eat 😋
It’s easy to see why it has been loved for so many years‼️
